Ruth Allen

Ruth Allen

Clinic Director & Chartered Physiotherapist

Ruth is the Clinical Director at Balance Twenty One and a Senior Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience. She earned her MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Southampton in 2009, following a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Limerick. After completing her postgraduate studies, Ruth returned to Ireland to work at Killarney Physiotherapy & Sports Science Clinic, became co-owner in 2012, and founded Kerry Physiotherapy Centre in 2013.

Over the years, Ruth has amplified her knowledge & experience by becoming a qualified Rehabilitative Pilates Instructor, certified yoga instructor and a Reformer Pilates Instructor. In 2023, combining all her experience & dedication; Ruth brought Balance TwentyOne to life.

Nichola (Physiotherapist & Reformer_Mat Pilates Instructor)

Nichola Hood

Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

Nichola, a Tipperary native, brings 13 years of International Physiotherapy experience to Balance Twenty One. Specialising in Orthopaedics and foot and ankle rehab, she offers personalised care and Pilates-based programmes. Now based in Killarney, she blends clinical expertise with a passion for the outdoors and patient-focused recovery.

Aisling, a Westmeath native, brings years of physiotherapy experience to Balance Twenty One. Now based in Killarney, she blends clinical expertise with a passion for the outdoors and patient-focused recovery.

Bridie O Sullivan

Bridie O Sullivan

Womens Health Chartered Physiotherapist

Bridie is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Dietitian with 10 years’ clinical experience, specialising in women’s health. She supports women through pelvic pain, postnatal recovery, and rehabilitation. A new mom herself, she also offers baby massage classes. Bridie holds degrees in Physiotherapy and Dietetics from RCSI and University College Cork.

Georgina (Massage Therapist)

Massage Therapist

With over 20 years’ experience, Georgina is a skilled Massage Therapist who has worked in top Irish spas and won a Tatler Award. A certified Reiki Master and Physiotherapy Assistant, she blends holistic and clinical care, with a passion for supporting wellness, including through cancer recovery massage.

General Manager

Clodagh, General Manager at Balance Twenty One, brings 15+ years’ experience in operations, marketing, and leadership. With a background in entrepreneurship and customer service, she excels at creating a warm, efficient environment. She is known for her ability to foster positive client experiences, support cohesive teams, and manage daily clinic operations seamlessly.

Mairead and Sophia form the welcoming front desk team at Balance Twenty One. With backgrounds in office administration and hospitality, they bring warmth, professionalism, and nearly three decades of combined experience. Their calm, friendly presence ensures each client feels supported, creating a seamless and positive experience from arrival to departure.

Our Reformer Pilates team combine clinical expertise with dynamic instruction to deliver safe, effective, and personalised movement sessions. With diverse backgrounds including Physiotherapy and fitness, they focus on strength, mobility, and injury prevention, helping clients move with confidence, recover well, and feel stronger both physically and mentally.

Our Yoga team bring a diverse blend of styles, wisdom, and warmth to each class. With deep roots in mindfulness, movement, and breathwork, they guide students of all levels to build strength, find balance, and reconnect with themselves through grounding, compassionate, and accessible yoga practices.
